"Think on these things": Psalm 138:8 "The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands." † NKJV As long as we live on this earth, we are a work in progress. The goal is perfection. We are as clay in the Master's hands, being molded and conformed to His image and will. Then finally the fiery furnace where our final shape is hardened and made permanent. It's the molding and conforming parts that hurt, change is sometimes scary, hard and necessary. The trials of our lives are the furnace. They harden us, teach us patience and reinforce God's will for our lives. This is a life long process with a specific goal in mind. Philippians 1:6 "being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;" † NKJV Ephesians 2:10 "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." † NKJV So let us attend to good works, for so we have been created and ordained, keeping our eyes on the prize. "Think on these things": 2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance." † NKJV The children of Israel waited for God some 400 years in Egypt for deliverance, but deliverance came. They waited again another 400 years from the last book of the Old Testament prophet Malachi to the promised Messiah, but Messiah came just as He said. We have now been awaiting the prophesied return of Christ for almost 2000 years. Will He return at last? God ALWAYS keeps His promises! That's what Biblical history teaches us. Jesus will return in the Father's time. He is showing us and the world His patience. He is suffering the evils of the world as we are because everyday, more children are turning to Him. It is His one desire! A relationship for all eternity with us! So He waits...and waits. One day soon, the last soul will say "Yes!" to Jesus and the trumpet will sound signifying both the end and the beginning. I am listening. I believe that it is closer than ever! "Think on these things": Matthew 16:25 "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it." † NKJV Another one of those verses that sounds like foolishness to the world and worldly thinking. Christians are so opposite of the world aren't we? The world is all about saving your life because it's the only one they have, to them. This present world is the only Heaven they will ever know whereas this present world is the only Hell we Christians will ever know. So you manage to save your physical life, for what? Unless you know Christ as savior, you're going to lose it again sometime and when you do, it will be permanent. But we Christians who lose our lives for Christ have just found the beginning of eternal life! We haven't lost anything, in fact, we have gained eternity with Christ! So, save your life for the world to a dead end or lose your life for Christ and gain forever! It's a no brainer to me! Amen?! God bless! ~Phil R.

"Think on these things": Jeremiah 23:24 "Can anyone hide himself in secret places, So I shall not see him?” says the Lord; “Do I not fill heaven and earth?” says the Lord." † NKJV Everyone knows that crime rates go up at night. Most people think that it's just because it's dark, but there is a bit more to it than that. John 3:19 "And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." † NKJV The truth is, our natural tendacy is to love darkness rather than light because we believe that the darkness hides our misdeeds, even from God. Ever notice that you don't have to teach a small child how to be selfish or inconsiderate or dishonest. It's because we are born with a sin nature built in, thanks to Adam's original sin. Praise be to God for sending His son to pay that sin debt for us, that we may embrace the light and without fear! Amen?! God bless! ~Phil R.

"Think on these things": 2 Thessalonians 3:3 "But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one." † NKJV The Lord is indeed faithful! He will establish your base, your foundation. He will keep you from evil. However, you have a choice to make. If you make the right choice, God will fulfill these promises. If not, He is not bound to any of them. For God to work on your behalf, you have to have chosen Him! These promises are only to God's children. If you're not His child, then you cannot claim any of His promises! God doesn't send people to Hell, they send themselves there by choosing against God. So the question isn't "why would a loving God send anyone to hell?" The real question is "why would anyone choose Hell over a loving God?" Amen?! God bless! ~Phil R.

"Think on these things": Psalm 121:7-8 "The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore." † NKJV The exact phrase is not here but the intent most certainly is. Fear not! Realize and understand that the phrase "fear not" or phrases that say the same thing, appear in scripture more than 365 times! If the Lord of all creation exhorts us almost constantly in His Word to not be afraid, then why are some Christians fearful to face life? In giving in to fear you are giving place to the devil in your life, something God never intended for you to face alone. Isaiah 41:10 "Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’" † NKJV With such promised power to back you, what could possibly hold you back? Amen?! "Think on these things": Psalm 91:1 "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." † NKJV Oh to be in the will of God! For there is no safer place in all creation! I recently wrote a post on Facebook that ended with the words "Christianity isn't weakness, it is fearlessness". Psalm 91 is just one reason why Christians can make that statement. You must understand, oh Christian, that it is about the will of God and not you! Everything God does is for our good yes, but more so to advance His will! If it is the will of God for no danger to come near you, then no danger will come near you! If it is the will of God for ten thousand of the enemy to perish at your right hand, then it will be so! If it is the will of God for you to die so that others may live, then it will be so and you will be with Jesus in paradise! Weakness?! HA! Romans 8:37 "Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." † NKJV "For me to live is Christ and to die is gain". Whether I continue to live by His will or die by His will, I will remain without fear. Amen?! God bless! ~Phil R.
